Run a stage countdown

Give a speaker a visible time cue without adding a timer to the audience slide.

Follow along in Desktop. Recorded in the product with illustrative content. Use the player controls to pause, replay or view full screen. Captions describe the on-screen actions.

Before you start

Open and check the stage display before starting the timer.

Open the timer controls

Choose Studio tools and find the stage timer. Check the stage display is visible to the intended speaker and that its current state is understood by the operator.

Set the duration

Enter the required value in Timer minutes. Agree the duration with the service leader rather than changing it unexpectedly during a message. Check the value before starting the countdown.

Start and monitor

Select Start timer. Confirm the countdown appears on the stage display and decreases as expected. Keep the operator aware of service changes so the timer remains a useful cue.

Pause or reset

Use Pause timer when the service pauses, then resume or reset through the available timer controls. Before the next speaker, review the timer state and set the appropriate duration for their segment.

If you need a hand

A paused countdown will not continue decreasing. Check the timer state before assuming the stage connection has failed.
