Record the program output

Follow along in Desktop. Recorded in the product with illustrative content. Use the player controls to pause, replay or view full screen. Captions describe the on-screen actions.

Before you start

Check storage space and rehearse your selected scene and audio before recording.

Start production

Open Production and select Start production if it is not already running. Review the program monitor and choose the intended scene. Recording captures the program, so confirm the output before starting.

Take the scene

Select Take scene after checking its sources. Inspect framing and audio levels. Keep a short rehearsal recording to confirm that the content and sound match what you expect on the production computer.

Record the service

Select Record program. Monitor the recording state and keep adequate free disk space throughout the service. Avoid closing the application or suspending the computer while it is recording.

Stop and allow saving

Choose Stop program recording and wait for the app to finish saving. Open the recording tools to review or export the saved result. Play the exported file before deleting working files or shutting down the production computer.

If you need a hand

If a session is interrupted, use the recording recovery tools to inspect saved data. Recovery depends on segments written to disk; it cannot recreate content that was never recorded.
