Add a video file to the rundown

Play a prepared video as its own service item.

Follow along in Desktop. Recorded in the product with illustrative content. Use the player controls to pause, replay or view full screen. Captions describe the on-screen actions.

Before you start

Have a local MP4 or WebM file ready on the production computer.

Select a service item

Open your service, add a slide and select it. Give it a clear label so the operator can distinguish the video from nearby scripture and announcement slides. Keep the original video file as a separate backup.

Choose the video

Open Content and choose Choose image or video. Select your MP4 or WebM file and allow the app to save it. The selected item becomes a video slide, with loop and mute settings available in its content controls.

Review playback settings

Choose whether this video should loop and whether its audio should be muted. Close Content and inspect the preview. Check the file’s duration and intended sound level with the person coordinating the service.

Take and rehearse

Open Production and choose Start production. Select a scene that includes presentation content, then take the slide to start its program playback. Check the audience display and audio output, then rehearse pause and restart. Before using the service offline, run Check offline media to confirm the video is saved on this device.

If you need a hand

If the file does not play, check that it is a supported MP4 or WebM and try a compatible export from the original editor. Renaming a file extension does not convert its codec.
