Before you start
Select the slide you want to use as a starting point.
Inspect the original
Choose the slide and check its design and content. Duplication is useful for related announcements or repeated welcome screens, but first confirm the original is the version you want to reuse.
Make a copy
Open Content and select Duplicate. A new slide appears after the original with copy added to its label. The duplicate has its own slide identity and can be edited independently.
Adapt the content
Change Slide label and Slide text to identify the new cue. Review attribution and any timing carried from the source. Update details such as dates, locations and names rather than leaving them from the original.
Place the new slide
Use Move up or Move down if the copy belongs elsewhere. Close the dialog and compare both previews. Shared theme edits can still affect slides using that theme, so use slide-specific design settings for an individual variation.
If you need a hand
If the copy looks unchanged on the audience display, select it and use Take slide. The audience shows the last taken frame until you change it.
