Play a timed slide sequence

Run prepared announcement slides automatically with optional looping.

Follow along in Desktop. Recorded in the product with illustrative content. Use the player controls to pause, replay or view full screen. Captions describe the on-screen actions.

Before you start

Set a suitable duration for every slide in the sequence.

Review the sequence

Open the service you want to play and check the slide order. Remove any cues that should require an operator, such as a speaker’s scripture reading, from an unattended announcement sequence.

Check durations

Select each slide and review Seconds before next slide in Design & timing. Give people enough time to read the content. Test video items separately because their playback settings also affect the presentation.

Start the rundown

Select Play rundown and observe the transitions. Enable Loop when the prepared sequence should repeat. Confirm the audience display, not only the operator preview, shows the expected order and timing.

Stop before the service changes

Choose Pause rundown when the announcement period ends. Select and take the next service cue manually. Keep an operator available to respond if the service starts early or the speaker changes the plan.

If you need a hand

If slides advance too quickly, stop playback and increase their durations. An automatic sequence should be rehearsed before it is used in front of a congregation.
