Before you start
You need permission to manage roles and a clear list of the tasks this role should perform.
Review existing roles
Open Owner Settings and Roles. Inspect an existing role before creating another one. Reusing a suitable role keeps your access model easier to understand and avoids several slightly different roles for the same responsibility.
Name the role
Choose the control to create a role. Enter a clear name and description that explain who should use it, such as a role for Sunday slide preparation. Use the description to distinguish preparation responsibilities from live operation or administration.
Choose permissions deliberately
Select the permissions required for those tasks. Read each permission group before enabling it. Access to account administration, billing and user management should be included only when those responsibilities are part of the role.
Save and assign
Save the role, review its details, then assign it through Users. Ask the team member to confirm the required tools are available. Creating the definition alone does not assign it to anyone, and changed permissions may require a refreshed session.
If you need a hand
If a required permission is unavailable, check the released room and plan first. Do not grant owner access simply to work around an unclear role configuration.
